Databac, provider of identification products, is offering until March discounts on Datacard ID card printers and launching a free card printing software.
Discounts will be offered to clients trading in their old card printers for the Datacard SP35 or SP55 desktop printers. This offer by Databac Group Ltd, provider of identification products, brings savings of up to £300 and is part of a drive to boost sales of Datacard SP series printers. Databac is including, free, the new entry-level version of its Dataimage photo ID software suite – Dataimage Lite – to provide a desktop card design and printing station. Dataimage Lite will be supplied with every printer shipped by Databac, allowing users to start printing and encoding cards straight away. Dataimage Lite features a card design module and user-customisable fields, with an upgrade path to Dataimage Professional, Premium (mobile) and Visitor editions.
These editions of the 32-bit Windows-based software suite include such features as an internal database, external ODBC connectivity, mobile laptop capture and database replication, visitor tracking, automatic visitor logging, reporting and even biometric verification. A 30 per cent discount will be extended to purchases of Dataimage Professional software, if bought with a new Datacard SP printer.
What they say
Databac managing director Charles Balcomb said: "The Datacard SP series topped our card printer sales during the year 2004.” The Datacard SP35 (single-sided) and SP55 (double-sided) are desktop printers suitable for small- to medium-sized companies,
with speeds of up to 120 full-colour single-sided cards an hour, according to the firm.
As a card manufacturer, Databac is also able to provide printable cards incorporating one or more reading technologies (smartchip, magstripe, proximity), allowing them to be used with automated systems such as access control, time and attendance, loyalty or vending. Databac Group is an official reseller and approved service centre for Datacard, Fargo, Zebra and other leading card printer manufacturers.
