Distributor Norbain SD has signed an exclusive three-year distribution agreement for the supply of CCTV products with facilities management company Romec.
Romec will source its customers’ key CCTV requirements exclusively from Norbain. Tony Cahill, Romec’s Director of Electronic Security said: “A key objective for Romec over the coming years is to grow the business significantly from our current position of around 22,000 customers on an annual turnover approaching £30m. The agreement negotiated with Norbain will directly assist us in achieving our commercial objectives. Norbain offered two important attractions – excellent pricing matched by a partnership approach to customer and technical support. The support we will receive from Norbain in the key areas of system design, product specification, technical support and training, will enable us to support our customers in a way that will create a significant competitive advantage for Romec in our marketplace and substantially enhance the customer experience. Where single source purchasing can deliver such competitive benefits, it is clearly going to be a very attractive proposition."
Chris Taylor, Divisional Director of Strategic Accounts at Norbain believes that service levels remain a key way to differentiate between distributors in a highly competitive CCTV marketplace: "No other UK distributor has the infrastructure to support key customers in the way that Norbain can through exclusive distribution agreements such as this. By confirming their commitment to us with a three-year distribution partnership, Norbain will provide Romec with extensive support services unequalled in Europe. This agreement will undoubtedly help reinforce the premier position both companies hold in their respective sectors."
