After July 7, anti-terror police reviewed thousands of hours of CCTV footage to help trace the movements of the suicide bombers, besides identify suspects in the attacks a fortnight later.

The firm is rolling out King IPT 765 ("King") and WASP โ two CCTV systems, launched by the firm at IFSEC. Applications include the utility and public sector, the military and police. King and WASP have been developed by Croma-Shawley, the Groupโs CCTV subsidiary.
The King IPT 765 is a camera mount that features a power supply in the head itself, making installation a plug and play operation, it is claiemd. The unit, which may be top-mounted, or inverted, has a 180 degree unobstructed tilt and continuous rotation to offer 0.1-100 degrees per second pan and tilt speeds. The unit offers a sun visor and wiper facility option. This application can be used with wireless systems.
WASP, a stand-alone wireless CCTV system for remote or temporary locations, is suited to the surveillance of remote utilities such as reservoirs and large government installations, it is claimed. The product needs no main power supply, according to the makers, as power is supplied from an integral battery maintained by the unitโs own wind and solar charging devices. The unit can be programmed to alert the client via the mobile phone network of any movement in the area it is monitoring, and images can be viewed and the unit may be operated via PC from any location.
