BT redcare group reports appointments in the expansion of its CCTV solutions business, redcare vision.

Joe Fielder is head of sales. Fielder, formerly general manager with BT Indirect Channels has created a new business development function to work alongside them. David Mikos has been appointed business development manager to work alongside Gary Byrne who joined the team in June, to work on new market development. Ivan Watkinson has been promoted to business development and sales manager for Scotland. Also recruited is Paul Hook as sales manager, West. Steve Sewell remains sales manager for East.

redcare vision reports that it is expanding the sales, business development and marketing functions and is building on its track record of significant year on year growth, in excess of eight to 10 per cent a year, since becoming part of the redcare group in 2001. Since joining redcare vision 12 months ago Richard Thomerson, chief executive, formerly of BT Business, has expanded the divisionโ€™s portfolio from a product line within the redcare group to a broad portfolio range of CCTV and risk management solutions, the firm says.

What they say

Jo Fielder, head of sales, said: "Our new team will work in partnership with customers in developing a broader range of customer-lead solutions for security, CCTV and risk management. My priority remains our service levels to existing customers. To that effect I have appointed Dick Eagling to manage a new pre and post sales support team that is designed to free my sales people to spend more time with customers and to complement the desk-based project management team that was introduced last year."

Brian Jackson has become senior product manager. He will be developing and delivering the new portfolio of risk and security solutions; he has a background of secure machine to machine intelligence solutions, having most recently worked for Britvic, Coca Cola and Cadburyโ€™s. Neil Bartholomew has also been recruited as marketing professional and Ceri Williams as business analyst.

Richard Thomerson, chief executive, said: "redcare vision has enjoyed growth year on year for the last decade, we have been in the enviable position of working to keep up with customer demand for our core services rather than looking to expand our portfolio. However, our customers have been increasingly asking us to provide a wider range of services and we feel that the time is right to invest in meeting this demand. We are growing our development, product and service functions so that we can develop from our leading position in high quality CCTV transmission through to the wide portfolio of risk management and security applications that our customers are asking for."
