The impact of new digital technology, and the recent Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Bill are among the themes of the annual Local Government Association CCTV conference at the LGA?s offices in Smith Square, London SW1, on March 20. Topics covered by the conference include: data protection compliance, registration and adherence to the Code of Practice; recent legislative issues including compliance with the Human Rights Act, the Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Bill and digital evidence legislation; best management practice including best value issues and the move to training and qualifications of operators; a review of technological innovations focusing particularly on digital equipment; and best practice case studies.
