After a day of water bombs, mud missiles and hijackings in the Ironbridge to Bridgnorth Raft Regatta, Chubb Locks Custodial Services (CLCS) raised more than £1,500 for charity.
The CLCS team – Steve Wood, Glen Leek, Jesse James, Dave Doughty, Roger Bentley, Andy Runham, Steve Goodwin, Richard Herbert – took more than four hours to finish the ten-mile course. They came 28th.
Steve Wood, or Admiral Wood as he was known on the day, managing director of Chubb Locks Custodial Services, said: "We had a fantastic day at the regatta, the crew was great and we are delighted to have raised such a substantial amount of money for the charities. We owe a big thank you to everyone who contributed to making our involvement in the regatta possible, and also to those who sponsored us."
The Bridgenorth Lions Club Raft Regatta is held every year, with entrants from across the Midlands raising money for a range of causes.
