Colour Domes

by msecadm4921

Honeywell has introduced the HD3VC4SHRX and HD3VC4SAX, two colour dome cameras for indoor use.

Both cameras encompass colour Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, which ensures a crisp, clear image, the CCTV manufacturers say. With 540 TV lines of resolution, the HD3VC4SHRX satisfies the need for improved image sharpness and picture contrast, it is claimed.

Single enclosure

Both the high resolution HD3VC4SHRX and the standard resolution HD3VC4SAX integrate a camera and lens into a single enclosure for round-the-clock surveillance. The compact, one-piece design of the camera and lens housing is designed to mount directly to a ceiling, wall, or to a 2S single gang electrical box, to enable, it is claimed, fast and easy installation. The three-dimensional gimbal provides picture adjustment with 360 degrees of pan, 160 degrees of tilt, and 360 degrees of horizontal resolution. The cameras accept 12 VDC and 24 VAC and a service/monitor cable is included for on-site adjustments.

What they say

“The addition of the HD3VC4SHRX and HD3VC4SAX cameras to our product line allows us to enhance our existing HD3 lines with more features and options at no additional cost to our customers,” said Chris Koetsier, EMEA marketing leader, Honeywell Video Systems. “The introduction of an innovative 3-D gimbal and the availability of 540 TV lines of resolution in a small and stylish dome are great enhancements to our existing HD3 line.”

Both the HD3VC4SHRX and HD3VC4SAX have Automatic Backlight Compensation (BLC) and Auto Tracking White Balance (ATW) for colour images in dark or backlit environments such as windows or doorways. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) increases the signal strength from the camera when scene lighting is low, and keeps the picture sharp and viewable. Applications, the makers add, include commercial and government sites, schools, casinos, retail stores, and hospitals. The HD3 range is available from ADI-GARDINER.
