The system, introduced in 1994, is operating in 25 centres nationwide. Ian Davis, Sales Director of Shop Alert, said: ?We are confident the new rental option will enhance the system?s appeal to non-user shopping centres as monthly rental costs can be spread over a period of up to five years. Planning, design, installation, training, service and maintenance are all included in agreed costs, with any new standard software or non-bespoke upgrades also built in automatically. Shop Alert is a tried and tested communication and security management system which has proved its worth on many occasions in not only combating, but actually reducing instances of theft and fraud in shopping centres. Its effectiveness in facilitating an immediate response to emergency evacuation procedures has also become a hallmark of the system.?
