About The Corps
The Corps – a member of the British Security Industry Association, or BSIA – was founded in 1859, after an outcry over the lack of jobs and other provision for veterans of the Crimean War. Previously called The Corps of Commissionaires, the company has moved from its origins as a provider of work for service veterans to offering security and business support services to a range of industries from telecommunications and property management to the financial and professional sectors. Its work ranges from remote monitoring to providing security staff and facilities services to organisations nationwide. The Corps has offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Bracknell, Bristol, Cardiff, Crawley, Fareham, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Stevenage and Papua New Guinea.
