DCA Contract

by Msecadm4921

The Department for Constitutional Affairs has awarded its contract for the provision of security services for its London estate to Carlisle Security, the security division of the Carlisle Group; the security, cleaning, staffing, banking and telecommunications business.

The DCA is one of the newer "super-departments" which handles the work of the former Lord Chancellorโ€™s Department and Court Service, plus several smaller bodies. The DCA estate extends across London, although most buildings are in the โ€˜Government zoneโ€™ in SW1.

Richard Chappell head of Carlisle Security, said: "This is a significant win for us, and it places our service right at the heart of the function of government in the UK. We are both pleased and proud to have the DCA award us this contract.โ€

Explaining what went into the Carlisle offer, Paul Trendall, Commercial Director, said: "This was a quality led bid but which still had to deliver outstanding value For money. Itโ€™s public money, our money, so we were glad that the DCA were so careful with it! The contract which includes manned guarding, keyholding and alarm response services allowed us to use some clever technology solutions to both improve efficiency and reduce the cost base."

Richard Chappell added: "We are looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with the DCA, where we can focus on delivering an exceptional service to a prestigious client. What greater compliment could we be paid than being trusted to protect the department which administers justice?"
