The new Casseforte from Chubb Safes provides protection for property and personnel.
The new Casseforte from Chubb Safes provides protection for property and personnel. It was launched at Securex 2001 stand C26. The system is a deposit facility located into the wall of the retail premises. It is a two-way system in that deposits can be made internal of the premises and collection made externally. With its electronic system, it enables the security manager to determine access rights to the safe and monitors by whom and when deposits/ collections were made. It also hosts the facility to transmit to the cash handling company?s head office which safe has been accessed, its stage and time taken to complete this collection. Should any interference take place, the alarm would be raised. External collections of deposits are made independently to the store operations, in accordance with the convenience of the cash handling company, thus the route and time of collection can be altered, reducing the threat of ambush. It also safeguards the retail employees from attack with their presence not being required to access the safe from outside. Exposure to monies from internal pilferage, on behalf of the cash handling company, is avoided. Deposits are made through a slot into a container. Company employees have no access to the internal part of the safe. As collection is made by the cash carrying company and the container is removed from the safe, the lid of the container closes and locks, preventing any unauthorised access to the deposit.
