An announcement on the RAFID radio frequency detection system from manufacturer Geoquip.
Manufacturer Geoquip has announced that the RAFID radio frequency detection system has recently achieved in independent tests the highest UK Security Equipment Approval Panel (SEAP) Class 4 rating and is now listed in the Catalogue of Security Equipment (CSE). The system was only launched two years ago and its success is due to the extensive development work carried out by the team at Geoquip. The Derbyshire firm is the only company to have SEAP approval for two perimeter systems ? the Defensor fence detection system and the RAFID radio frequency detection system ? both of which have been installed in a wide variety of applications, including high security government sites and prison establishments worldwide. The main applications for RAFID are open ground areas where covert detection is required, but the system has also been installed successfully above ground on walls and is available in a rapid deployment version, where high security is required on a temporary basis. As well as government and commercial applications, one other main market from which Geoquip is seeing much interest is the VIP residential market, where covert detection for security and aesthetic reasons are paramount.
