Sanyo has introduced the DSR-3000P digital video recorder and two digital multiplexers (Sanyo MPX-CD163P and MPX-CD93P). Many digital video recorders currently on the market include built-in multiplexers that may not be required but add to the cost. Sanyo?s strategy of offering separate machines provides customers with the flexibility of retrofitting the DSR-3000P digital video recorder to existing installations whilst also having the option of adding one of the digital multiplexers. The digital-to-digital connection between the recorder and multiplexer ensures there is no degradation in the video images and that 520 TV lines are achieved. The DSR-3000P is a single channel hard disk video recorder that is compatible with most makes of multiplexers and can be easily retrofitted to existing CCTV systems. When used with Sanyo MPX-CD163P or MPX-CD93P multiplexers there is no conversion into an analogue signal. It offers 80GB hard disk storage that can be doubled by the installation of an additional hard drive in the extension bay. Up to three DSR-3000Ps can be installed in series thereby offering 480GB of hard disk storage. Simultaneous record and playback without any interruption at 50 frames per second. Networkable. Each DSR-300P is IP addressable and can be integrated onto a LAN.
