Cortech Developments, providers of software for the security and fire sectors, have enhanced the Datalog Security Management System for integration with the ViconNet digital platform from Vicon.
The Datalog 4 Alarm Management System can communicate with the ViconNet API version 4 over a TCP/IP network allowing integration with the Vicon Kollector range of Digital Video Recorders, ViconNet NVRs, ViconNet video servers and ViconNet IP cameras.
Features include time and date search for playback of manually selected recorder cameras, the execution of macros within ViconNet upon a Datalog circuit alarm, the option to issue preset commands on alarm and the automatic replay of alarm events on the Datalog screen for video verification. Playback of cameras is via on screen display on the Datalog monitor of up to four simultaneous cameras synchronised by time and date with playback controls of fast forward, reverse, pause etc.
Up to four cameras can be displayed simultaneously in a quad view mode or one single camera in live or replay mode. There is also the option to incorporate the use of the Datalog Camera icons so the cameras can be dragged off the Datalog maps and dropped on to the Vicon window and then perform the required operations (playback, PTZ etc) with the selected cameras. Live cameras can be viewed with the ability to control any PTZ cameras. Where audio is available for a camera this will be played via the Datalog PC whenever that camera is selected, either with live or recorded audio.
Datalog 4 integrates with a host of other third party manufacturers control equipment. Both existing and new technology can be integrated together to act as one seamless system including security, fire, cctv, perimeter, access, intruder, intercom, building alarms, cell call, staff safety and other emerging technologies.
Our graphical user interface is a ready made solution for the monitoring and control of local and remote building, fire and security systems. The combination of technologies onto a single screen enables an officer stationed at a single position within a control room to control all the various elements. This combined with integrated pre and post video verification is essential for ensuring maximum response to any alarm event. Multiple user workstations can be used with the facility for automatic hot standby.
One operating routine for all systems displayed on a single screen makes it easier it is claimed for operators to understand events, respond and direct resources in seconds rather than minutes. Alarms, fire and events can all be clearly and concisely displayed on graphic location plans, with text descriptions, on-line help instructions and verified by live pre and post video.
All actions on the system are recorded.
