It replaces both a VCR and multiplexer with its high-resolution recording and support of up to eight cameras, and it provides transaction information with its point-of-sale and ATM text monitoring capability, the makers report. The unit provides duplex operation by continuing to record while live or recorded video is viewed. It offers multiple language support in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch and allows for a response to critical events with its simultaneous multiscreen viewing and video playback. To reduce on-site visits, DVMS 800 live or recorded video can be viewed from remote locations with the Remote Access Software (RAS). The software also allows access for system configuration changes and DVMS firmware and software updates. The product is suitable, the manufacturers report, for bank branches, toll roads, medium to large retailers, warehouses and factories.
