Distribution Deal

by Msecadm4921

The manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric announced its partnership with Ubiqz as a UK distributor for its range of digital security products.

Ubiqz is a trade-only distributor of security products based in the UK that provides analogue and IP solutions. As a trading division of the Midwich Group, Ubiqz offers technical support and after sales service. Ubiqz only sells branded products in the UK and Europe and has a client base in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Anand Subbiah, general manager of Ubiqz, said: “We are delighted to add Mitsubishi to our burgeoning portfolio of security brands. Mitsubishi has a 30-year heritage in the security sector and can offer our customers a line-up of advanced security hardware and software solutions that includes some really innovative IP cameras.”

Mitsubishi Electric’s latest offering includes a range of IP solutions. Its new network cameras are MPEG-4 and H.264 compatible and come with video analytics enabling motion based video recording.

Designed for CCTV surveillance, the video analytics function (available as optional upgrade) is able to alert users of suspicious behaviour by detecting movements including direction, stopping, loitering, entering, exiting, appearing and disappearing motions.

Mitsubishi cameras can be connected to the newly developed NVR and encoders and controlled through Mitsubishi’s NetHunter IP software, a single server video system that has been designed to manage IP cameras, NVRs and DVRs.

Mitsubishi’s range also includes MPEG-4 and JPEG2000 DVRs and LCD public display panels from 32-inch to 65-inch, providing a range of solutions for applications.
