DM IFSEC Launch

by Msecadm4921

Dedicated Micros at IFSEC launched its NetVu ObserVer video management software.

The product, included with all DM ‘NetVu Connected’ products, is a GUI (Graphical User Interface), featuring drag and drop set up, single and multiple display modes, GOTO time and event capabilities, PTZ camera control and a database editor with site plan support. This interface provides an intuitive viewing solution, allowing seamless access to distributed images from any ‘NetVu Connected’ DVR, server or IP camera, from anywhere, the makers say. Developed using Dedicated Micros’ SDK (Software Development Kit) building blocks, the next generation NetVu ObserVer has the ability to offer flexible site management from a single networked video server to a large multi-site installation such as a town centre, hospital or campus. NetVu ObserVer supports viewing of both MJPEG and MPEG-4 video streams, allowing the user to minimise bandwidth demands on constrained networks, the makers add.

The new PDA viewer created from the same SDK, emphasises the flexibility of the same core ‘NetVu Connected’ technology approach. It provides an extra viewing platform for users on the move in a range of environments from retail to gaming, according to the manufacturers.
