GENIE CCTV LTD. have added day/night vandal resistant IP66 rated fixed dome cameras, the AVR series to its Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) range of CCTV cameras.
High resolution images are captured using a one-third inch Sony Super HAD CCD. Two models are available; one with a removable IR cut-filter that captures night-time pictures in high definition monochrome (AVRDD-5351) or a digital day/night model (AVRCD-5351). A WDR model with a Pixim sensor will be released soon.
A 2.9-10mm DC AI Varifocal lens is integrated in the dome. The new dome cameras employ a DSP that offers day/night function, low light sensitivity of 0.002 lux and more than 540 TV Lines of image quality. There are also other built-in functions including the OSD menu, 4 zone privacy masking and motion detection.
The vandal resistant domes use DNR technology to help remove low-light level picture noise, smear and ghost images more effectively. Up to 70 per cent of DVR HDD capacity can be reduced when using MPEG-4 compression achieving better quality images with less noise levels and reducing the recording file size, according to the firm.
AVR series domes also offer a surface and a flush mount in the same box so enabling the installer to chose between the two types of installations. A wall bracket is an optional accessory.
"The CCTV market is changing and there is a requirement by our customers for more versatile and flexible solutions. Our new dome cameras have a build quality you can trust at an affordable price" says Binit Shah, Marketing Manager at Genie.
