Genie’s new Pixim-powered WDR (maximum 120 dB) dome camera, the DSF120PX offers advantages to the installer, the firm reports. It features Pixim’s Digital Pixel System technology that allows individual pixel sampling to determine optimum exposure in all areas of the image.

This provides a balanced exposure of both bright and dark areas in the same scene, making these cameras suitabl it is claimed for the toughest backlight problems. Image quality and colour rendition in challenging lighting conditions are ensured at all times. The slim dome’s true day/night and frame integration modes capitalises on Pixim’s technology to achieve enhanced low light performance.

Marketing Manager of Genie, Binit Shah says: "Pixim’s Digital Pixel System technology offers the widest dynamic range available, enabling Genie cameras to produce excellent image quality and colour rendering, regardless of the lighting conditions where the camera is located. Binit Shah further adds, "The slim dome has been specially designed for demanding retail applications where facial and object recognition is necessary in a variety of light conditions such as doorways, windows, shadows and outdoors with strong light reflections."
