To assist the hard of hearing, Urmet Artico and Atlantico door entry systems are now being made with built-in induction loop amplifiers.
The video handsets as well the door entrance panels have been equipped with amplifiers to assist both residents and visitors who wear a hearing aid equipped with a telecoil.

On the upgrade of two of Urmet’s door entry system ranges, Mark Hagger, Sales and Marketing Director said: "We are very pleased to introduce this communication aid which will particularly benefit elderly people living in sheltered home and warden controlled environments. It will ensure that owners of public buildings can comply with a requirement of the Disability Discrimination Act whilst making it much easier for people with hearing difficulties to communicate with their visitors."
Artico is Urmet’s entry level handset featuring a 4-inch CRT monitor and offering a solution where straightforward video entry is required whilst the Atlantico handset is, available with a 4-inch mono or colour screen and with brightness and contrast adjustment for picture quality.
