Door Guide

by msecadm4921

The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers with the Door and Hardware Federation, has launched a code of practice covering hardware for fire and escape doors.

The new code offers advice on relevant products and standards to guide all those responsible for fire safety in buildings, regardless of the amount of knowledge they have of hardware for these doors, says the GAI.

The document covers door closing devices, electrically powered hold open devices, door furniture, door bolts, locks and latches. It can be browsed on-line at the GAI website; or you can order a CD for £5 plus VAT.
