DVR Addition

by Msecadm4921

September 2005 sees the arrival of an addition to Vantage’s product range – a 16 channel digital video recorder with CD writer.

This latest offering provides a number of features for its price bracket and is available exclusively through distributors Gardiner Group to customers in the UK and throughout Europe.

This new DVR encompasses 600Gb as standard with two fixed internal hard drives and triplex operation for simultaneous live viewing, video recording and playback. Network accessibility is available via the Vantage viewer software and CDRW enables image archiving, as does SD card, which also delivers software updates.

Suitable for users, the distributor says, from small retail right up to medium sized industrial, the DVR is also IP addressable and is therefore able to use global networks. Viewer software is provided free, to enable remote network viewing operations. With a multiscreen display, quick search options by event, alarm lists and other parameters, the unit meets the budget requirements of most applications, it is claimed.

What they say

"This latest product in the Vantage range will make a valuable addition to our portfolio," says Gardiner Group’s CCTV product and purchasing manager Nick O’Leary. "Vantage majors on reliability and a growing industry stature for technical performance to offer excellent value for money. The DVR has been many months in development and quality assurance to fully prepare it for the needs and expectations of the installer." The launch of the DVR follows a number of important additions to the range this year and last, including a new range of lenses, the eVo dome range, new housings and brackets and the Juno range of fully functional domes, the firm adds.
