Eagle Birthday

by msecadm4921

ID card solution firm Eagle is celebrating its third anniversary. Visit

Chris Rayner, Managing Director, said: ?Security has always been important, particularly with the increase in fraud and the threat from global terrorism that we?ve seen over the last few months. However, a combination of cost, print quality, print speed and after sales service has, more than often, restricted the real potential of the plastic card industry. When I think back to the very first day, with no customers, no business and no team members and then compare that to our current situation … wow! Three years later, we are witnessing how new and improved technology is bringing lower cost card production methods whilst increasing speed, quality and reliability. It truly is a revolutionary time in the personalised plastic card business.? The firm quotes the most recent research by Datamonitor that the UK card market has continued to exhibit strong growth over the last year.

Mono printer

Evolis, the French card printer manufacturer, is introducing a monochrome printer, branded Tattoo. This printer allows you to print plastic cards even without a PC, suitable for offices, receptions and shop counters. Chris Rayner, Managing Director of Eagle Distribution, master distributor of the Tattoo in the UK, said: ?We?re very confident that the Tattoo will be an extremely popular product. We understand that today?s customers are especially attracted to products that provide the best overall value and combination of features that meet their specific needs. The Tattoo is engineered around that premise and we believe offers one of the best overall balances between monochrome printing output, speed and low cost of operation over any monochrome printer on the market.? The product?s monochrome thermal transfer technology makes it possible to print bar codes, text, graphics and logos in up to eight colours, such as gold, black, blue, scratch-off. Other features include push and twist print head replacement, three-mag encoding capabilities and manual single feed and automatic 100-card input cartridge.
