ECA Web

by msecadm4921

The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) has a new look website

The industry body says the site now contains more specialist advice and services for electrical and other specialist contractors.

The site covers technical matters and the emergence of new technologies, commercial and employment issues, training and careers advice, as well as information on health and safety and the environment.

Director of the ECA, David Pollock says: "This revamp comes as part of our commitment to providing access to the most up to date and comprehensive information. Our aim, as ever, is to help members stay ahead of industry issues and requirements. We hope the site will assist them in the continued delivery of the highest level of quality service to clients whilst helping to improve their market advantage."

Additions to the site include:

Credits online – member companies can now administer their purchasing of JIB Combined Benefits Credits and holiday top-up arrangements online. Members will be issued with login details, which will be unique to their business.

Course booking – members and non-members can now book ECA courses online, via a credit card payment facility. The section also provides other useful information on ECA training courses.

Online technical certificate creation – members can download a range of certificates, which they can complete electronically for their clients and their own records. Online certificates include BS7671, fire alarms, and emergency lighting.

ECA employment guide – from early March, members will have exclusive online access to the EEF employment guide, covering all aspects of employment law and best practice. The online version includes all the material in the published version, together with downloadable specimen documents, and is regularly updated as new employment legislation is introduced.

ECA Manual online – provides members with access to the latest version of this valuable resource.

Web-in-a-box – allows members to create their own website via an easy to use wizard interface.

Hosted e-mail – provides smaller member firms with access to a free e-mail account.

Member administration area – allows members to easily change their contact details and passwords, create additional login accounts and amend the services they offer to clients.

Regional area – provides members with easy access to committee meeting minutes, events calendar, loan labour facility, new member applications, news and downloads.
