Hauliers Eddie Stobart have picked software firm Sophos to protect the company’s corporate network against virus attack.
Eddie Stobart will rely on the anti-virus software firm to defend its operation against over 75,000 viruses, Trojans and worms, besides what Sophos say are the hundreds of new viruses emerging each month. The haulage firm will deploy virus protection on servers and desktops and at the e-mail gateway. Deployment of the software firm?s Enterprise Manager is to update the haulier with the virus protection files and updates to the software. The agreement was completed with
Softcat, one of Sophos’ channel partners.
What they say
David Mossop, technical systems manager at Eddie Stobart, says: ?We were looking for an anti-virus solution capable of addressing all our security needs.? Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos, says: ?With the increasing complexity of new viruses, companies are rightly demanding more and more from their security vendors. It is no longer enough for vendors to specialise in one area and be moderate in others – they have to provide excellence across the board.? Visit www.sophos.com
