Secom Plc installs security for commercial, public sector and domestic customers throughout the UK.
The company recently fitted GJD’s detectors at their branch in Leeds. Commenting, GJD’s Managing Director Mark Tibbenham said: "Our range of D-Tect external detectors provide an excellent security solution in support of monitored CCTV installations. These units are rugged, reliable, have a good coverage pattern and a proven record in terms of activation reliability. This means that their use ensures a reduction in the
number of false alarms being generated, with obvious benefits to the users."
Tibbenham added: "In this installation, Secom used two types of our D-Tect units which have gained an enviable reputation over many years for covering and protecting the external perimeter of any property. At the Secom’s Leeds site we were asked to comply with the external aesthetics of the building. The design of our D-Tect detectors was considered suitable to
project a professional image; they have subsequently performed faultlessly in service as well as looking good, factors which lead to them being specified by Secom and proving totally justified in service."
Alan Gover, Operations Director of Secom reporting on security at the Leeds branch said: "As expected, we have found the GJD units to be totally effective. Within the level of alerts received at our RVRC we have had a minimal number of false calls. We are sure that this will be the case for many years to come and are confident that our premises are fully secured."
