Fibre Video Add

by msecadm4921

COE Group plc has launched what it calls an ultra-miniature addition to its X-Net product range.

According to the video firm, the X-Net NANO is smaller than a credit card, supports fixed and fully functional dome PTZ cameras, provides a tamper contact link and will fit inside any standard outdoor pole or camera housing. This brings huge advantages for the installer through reduced space requirements and installation time, it is claimed by the Leeds-based firm.

The product is compatible with multimode and singlemode fibres, the company adds. Based on 10 bit digital encoding, used throughout the COE X-Net® range, the NANO provides near-broadcast quality video for the CCTV user, it is claimed. The NANO is compatible with the company’s X-Net NMS alarm management system that provides local and remote system status reporting for reduced diagnostic and repair cycles, the makers add.

Applications, the firm says, include any fibre optic based video system as it meets or exceeds Rail Standard EMC requirements and operates from minus 40 degrees C to 74 degrees C making it suitable for rugged outdoor environments, the firm claims. It is supported with COE’s five year warranty.
