Manufacturer of CCTV and access control products Bewator has acquired Aldata Industries Oy (Flexim), based in Helsinki, Finland, from Aldata Solution Oyj.

Trading under the name of Flexim, the organisation is a manufacturer of access control and time and attendance solutions in Finland, with about 30pc market share. Employing 32 people, the company has a turnover of approximately 8 million euros. The acquisition will enable Bewator, it says, to significantly expand in the access security market, and strengthen its Nordic market position.

What they say

“The acquisition of Aldata Industries is another feather in our cap and enables us to fortify our position in this important developing market,” said Bo Kastensson, President and CEO of Bewator Holding AB. “Flexim’s large installed base will present us with greater access to strategic end-user segments for Bewator’s integrated security solutions. This also creates a strong platform for coordinated market activities geared towards delivering integrated security solutions to large Pan-Nordic companies”.

Demand for integrated security solutions has increased greatly over the past years, providing good sales opportunities for Flexim’s key product, the Flexwin system, which integrates access control, time and attendance, and alarms.

“We have enjoyed a period of sustained growth in recent years,” said Jarmo Salo, MD of Aldata Industries Oy. “I believe that we will be able to benefit greatly and grow further as part of a leading security group that has international presence, recognition and support.
