A network installation firm is the first to gain Network Video Integration Partner (NVIP) status from distributor Gardiner Security.
SkyNet Systems, based in Oxford, had already had in-house training, technical support and lead referrals from Gardiner. Pictured formalising the agreement in March are left to right Glenn Fletcher (Integrated Systems sales manager) and Hemant Trivedi (sales director) of Gardiner, SkyNet Systems’ MD Dave Carrington, and Cisco’s IP business development manager Steve Frost. The distributor reports that it partners installers in supplying network systems, and is asked by end users for advice. SkyNet Systems is a Cisco Partner of the Year.
What they say
Dave Carrington says: “We are delighted to receive this accreditation, further endorsing our ability to integrate leading edge IP applications. As network technologies converge, IT infrastructure is increasingly relied upon to manage voice, video and data applications. We respect that when entrusted as a systems integrator by our customers, the strategic supplier partnerships we hold are of equal importance. Gardiner Security shares our dedication of offering exemplary support and as a Gold NVIP we are now formally recognised and qualified to competently demonstrate and incorporate video integration within the solutions we propose.” SkyNet Systems’ sales manager Dan Antonowicz adds: “In just a few years we have grown our services through incremental stages, from voice and data convergence to IP communications and Cisco technology, to now offering multiple solutions including IP video surveillance, access control and fire – with the knowledge that we can rely on Gardiner for its expertise in best of breed solutions.” Steve Frost, Cisco’s IP communications UK business development manager, says: “Physical as well as ICT security is currently ‘top of mind’ for many companies. Integrated IP security solutions will improve safety and security, thus reducing crime and fear of it, with the Cisco IP network architecture for integrated voice, video, and data (AVVID) providing an intelligent platform to support business critical applications like these. As the physical security industry develops CCTV and Access Control products that run natively on IP, we will see the IP network become a key component of a company’s security system. Skynet, Gardiner and Cisco are well positioned to be at the core of this new integrated systems market.” Support is coming to the distributor from the many manufacturers it represents, adds Glenn Fletcher: “They recognise that these installers are able to overcome issues that standard security integrators may struggle with. SkyNet Systems is an excellent example of the type of account we are signing up as partners. They have all the relevant expertise to converge video and network security into their traditional Cisco offerings. Furthermore, we are now considering strategic alliances for NVIP partnerships to work on projects in other European countries.”
