The Easter Monday Blue Square Premier fixture between Kettering and Cambridge was policed from up on high.
Northamptonshire officers arranged for 360-degree mobile cameras to be sited in the vicinity of the ground at Rockingham Road to enhance security arrangements.
Inspector Richard Aistrop, the Kettering sector commander, said: โBy far the majority of football fans are well behaved but we have to be mindful of those, although few in number, who look for an opportunity to cause trouble.
โThe club and police are united in our aims to come down hard on any troublemakers and we wonโt hesitate to prosecute anyone breaking the law.
โBoth the stewarding and the policing levels will reflect the interest in the game and the numbers expected.โ
