Protecting their fuel is a must for every logistics company which wants to safeguard its profits.
Addressing fuel theft, skimming and diesel spills is the TISS TankSafe ‘Impregnable’ device, says the Blackpool-based makers.
Knowles Transport in Cambridgeshire has fitted TISS’ the ‘Impregnable’ Fuel Security and Safety Device to solve concerns with fuel theft, specifically ‘skimming’, which refers to the practice of siphoning the top few inches of fuel, something that is possible say TISS with basic anti-siphons.
David Butler, Knowles Transport’s Transport Manager, said: "Having previously fitted cheaper ‘basic’ anti-siphons, I was disappointed to still see an average loss of six gallons of fuel per month on each Truck after fitting. However, having now fitted the TankSafe ‘Impregnable’ I am delighted that we are now not having any fuel siphoned at all.”
Knowles Transport’s findings supports the recent independent testing conducted by Mi Technology, which demonstrated that it was impossible to siphon any fuel from the TankSafe ‘Impregnable’ in addition to proving that TISS’ TankSafe ‘Standard’ Anti-Siphon is the most effective basic anti-siphon available to prevent third party theft.
Charles Boucher, TISS’ Business Development Manager, said: "TISS are proud that Knowles Transport, an established name in the Haulage Industry and another company featuring in Motor Transport’s Top 100 Haulier List has recognised the quality offered by the TankSafe range of devices. I am confident this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship."
