Future At IFSEC

by Msecadm4921

Commend UK are exhibiting at stand C24 a range of integrated communications technologies to mark 40 years in the security industry.

Its celebrations recently culminated in the launch of the Series WS of intercom units and the opening of a new UK headquarters, near Stansted Airport, to bring all of its engineering, sales and training under one roof.

Greg Gregoriou, Managing Director of Commend UK, says that as well as celebrating the past, the company is very much looking forward to the future: โ€œWe have an enviable range of products with incorporated video, VoIP technology, and high performance servers and we will continue to be adding to the core technology this year.โ€

Among the technologies being developed is a new wireless intercom system and special stations for industrial or petrochemical sites. The company has also recently launched Commend Solutions โ€“ a new division dedicated to the development of bespoke systems to deliver solutions for virtually every type of application.

โ€œOur capability is as much about our people as it is our products,โ€ Greg adds, โ€œwhich is why our team of experts will be on the stand to discuss how our current and future technologies can be best utilised in even the most challenging environments.โ€

Of the specific products on show, Commend will be exhibiting the Series WS โ€“ a family of intercom stations, which bring together sound, vision, control and design technology. These can be integrated into most existing fire and security systems, including CCTV, access control, voice, PA and emergency Help Points. One CAT 5 cable incorporates voice, video and power for ease of installation, and space and energy efficiency. The units operate using Commendโ€™s Intercom over Internet Protocol (IoIP) and are designed for safety and security in public places such as lifts, car parks, airports, stations and residential buildings. Alongside Series WS will be GE 800 and 300 IP Intercom Servers โ€“ a new generation of IP Intercom Servers with 16kHz voice, video and control capabilities, and compatible with new and legacy systems.
