by msecadm4921

G4S Security Services (UK) reports that it is one of the first to be accepted in the SIA’s Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS), subject to its finalisation.

The guarding firm reports that ACS accredited companies will be added to an SIA public register of approved companies and providers can use the award for publicity purposes.

G4S Security Services (UK) has also recently been awarded an NSI Guarding Gold Scheme Certificate of Approval for all of its operations. The award has enabled the company to take the fast track route to ACS approval.

SI targets

To date, G4S Security Services (UK), reports, it has consistently met each of the monthly application targets set by the SIA since September for the number of officers to be licensed and is confident of meeting the March 20 deadline.

What they say

Doug Hewitson, National Operations Director at G4S Security Services (UK), said: “We fully support any initiative which contributes to standards being raised in the security sector and increases public confidence in the suppliers they choose. The ACS certification is a reflection of our continued support of the SIA and will further reassure our customers, prospects and employees that they are associated with one of the best security providers in the industry.”
