G4S Security Services (UK) (‘G4S’) has recently launched a new monitoring centre in Belfast.
According to the security firm the purpose built centre significantly expands the company’s Monitoring and Response capability and is the only centre with full accreditation for the UK.
Sited in the Harbour Estate area of the city, the new centre complies with BS5979 and ISO9001 standards and remotely monitors alarms and CCTV cameras, besides providing pan-European alarm response and remote access control. G4S describes the centre as integral to the company’s ability to offer support to clients with their daily security requirements as well as disaster recovery measures.
Richard Fenton-Jones, Managing Director, Monitoring & Response, G4S Security Services (UK) said: “This new centre is a major investment by G4S and demonstrates our intention to enhance the services we can offer clients in the Monitoring and Response market. It will enable us to support clients in the UK as well as having a pan-European capability. This investment underlines our commitment to growing the Monitoring & Response business which is an increasingly important component of the G4S UK & Ireland offering. My team will use the new centre to target new markets as well as looking to increase both the size and turnover of the business.”
G4S Monitoring and Response provides a range of monitoring, key holder and response services to both the public and private sector, including monitoring of intruder and fire alarms, asset tracking, remote access control, lone worker protection, vacant property maintenance and CCTV.
