EAT, a family run cafe chain recently announced success with detecting loss, including fraud and procedural errors within the business after use of loss prevention software.
Rene Batsford, Head of IT for EAT, said: “We took up IntelliQ’s ‘Data Challenge’ offer right at the end of 2008 and were impressed with the results, so much so we decided to invest in the IntelliQ technology in early 2009. The implementation of the solution went without a hitch and we quickly got down to using the system to analyse the data coming from our tills. Within a short space of time we were seeing significant results from the IntelliQ solution and in under a year of full operation we have seen a full return on our investment. We now see IntelliQ as a vital component in our loss strategy and are looking at expanding the use of the system to assist in other areas of our retail operations.”
Malcolm Peden, CEO at software firm IntelliQ said: “EAT, a fast growing player in the premium café sector, represent a new type of customer for IntelliQ- being outside of our traditional high street retail profile. We see this area of food retail as a major area of growth for IntelliQ and are delighted at the impressive results EAT have obtained in less than a year of using our solution. Once again our technology and expertise has been proven in a new area of retail, further enhancing our place as the number one supplier of retail loss prevention solutions in the UK and beyond.”
