G4S, an Official Supporter of England’s 2018 World Cup bid, provided security services throughout the official FIFA bid inspection, which ran between August 23 and 26.
The security contractor’s staff accompanied the delegation of inspectors throughout the four-day trip as they visited football stadium and attended invitation-only events in London and Manchester, each secured with specialist support from the security company. The firm also provided secure transportation for the inspectors’ luggage.

G4S is the official Private Safety and Security Services Supplier of England’s World Cup 2018 bid and ensured the safe transportation of the official bid documents from Wembley to FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. During the visit, FIFA’s inspectors visited Wembley Stadium, Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, Newcastle’s St James’ Park, Manchester United’s Old Trafford and The City of Manchester Stadium, home of Manchester City.
