Security guards, taxi and bus drivers and sales reps are among those at risk from opportunist and planned crime during their working hours, report a firm behind a new item of security clothing.
Such lone workers may carry money or keys and security passes, which may make them a target of crime.
KDT Corporate Wear Limited is a company that manufactures a police-styled security garment for the consumer market. The firm has unveiled a new undergarment, made from the breathable Dupont Coolmax material, called the ‘Lock-Top’.
"It has two zip pockets located around the ribs, making them completely invisible to anyone else," said Tony Tuck, Managing Director of KDT Corporate Wear Limited.
"We are well placed to understand the problems of lone workers as we manufacture clothing for police forces around the UK. Utilising this experience, we have adapted the design of a police vest and tailored it to this market. Money, security passes and other valuables can be carried in the two pockets, making the worker less of an obvious target."
