Hazmat Suits

Personnel working in dangerous environments now have a new option for limited-life chemical-protective gas-tight suits with Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics’ ONESuit Pro product line.

With a single-skin design, the hazmat suits offer fire, chemical, military and industrial organisations certified protection against chemical and biological agents plus the Rochdale-based manufacturers say wearer comfort. Customised suit versions for Industrial, Emergency Team (ET) and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) situations are available.

Certified to both EN 943-1 and EN 943-2, the highest level of certification recognised within the EU and Asia, the suits are proven it’s claimed to serve effectively as a barrier against hazardous materials. The line also the makers add exceeds the requirements for tensile strength, flex-cracking and puncture resistance. With EN certification, the product line is certified in the United States to NFPA 1991 (Standard on Vapour-Protective Ensembles for Hazardous Materials Emergencies) and NFPA 1994 (Standard on Protective Ensembles for First Responders to CBRN Terrorism Incidents).

Saint-Gobain’s patent-pending CoreTechTM Barrier Membrane technology enables the lightweight, under 5kg ONESuit® Pro suits to deliver protection against chemical and biological agents in both liquid and vapor form. The flexible and robust single-skin is engineered for maneuverability and user comfort in the most challenging environments. Wearers also benefit from good visibility and superior flame resistance.

To reduce total cost of ownership, the suits have a seven-year shelf life and are the firm says compact for space-saving storage.
