The main security threats for the hotel and conference industry are organised groups of criminals that target expensive media equipment such as laptops and LCD projectors found in meeting rooms. Car crime is also a factor; and walk-in thefts of briefcases and handbags left unattended in hotel lobbies. Fraud may result, such as use of foreign currency, counterfeit currency, cheques and credit cards. TK-C1480BE cameras and TK-WD310E wide dynamic range cameras from manufacturer JVC were selected.
