Hotel Cards

by Msecadm4921

Hotels and Leicestershire Police are launching information cards for display at hotel reception desks, to educate motorists to remove valuables from their vehicles.

The cards state that the hotel is actively involved in measures to ensure the safety and security of guests during their stay.
The cards have been funded through the Home Office’s Public Service Agreement monies, and promoted by Leicestershire Police’s Operation Steer. It’s a partnership with police working across the area to drive down car crime. PC Michael Kaiser the Crime Reduction Officer and chairman of the Vehicle Action Team for the North West Leicestershire Police Area said: “It is important that hotel procedures are in place at the point of contact to give out information to their guests both as a matter of courtesy and conveying the right image to their customers. I believe that by working in partnership together, we can have an impact in reducing vehicle crime across the county". Mark Clayton, manager of the Thistle Hotel at Nottingham East Midlands Airport said: “As a new manager to the Hotel and the area, I am delighted in the pro-active work that is being done by the police to reduce vehicle crime in the area. These new cards will benefit all our guests staying at the hotel, acting as a reminder to them to remove all valuable items out of view from their vehicles.”
