Bosch introduced at IFSEC the Recording Station, a management system for up to 32 IP video sources.
It combines video recording and management with communications technology. Live viewing and recording is supported at any resolution up to 2048 x 1536 pixels (3 megapixel), including HD widescreen. It manages H.264 and MPEG-4 video from Bosch and third party IP video sources compatible with Axis MPEG-4 and MJPEG via HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) / TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) compression standards.
The product interfaces with security and building management systems such as intrusion, fire and access solutions and alarm panels from Bosch. It also supports connection to external systems including; ATM and POS (Point of sale) terminals, fire alarm systems, licence plate capture equipment and video content analysis solutions. For even tighter integration, the VideoSDK (Software Development Kit) from Bosch provides a complete toolbox of modules for playback, searching, viewing and more.
Live and recorded video can be recovered from anywhere in the network. Whether on-site, or at a remote network location, operators have access to all information, making the Recording Station a solution for distributed network surveillance. The scalable, intuitive GUI (Graphical User Interface) allows live and recorded images from multiple remote stations to be viewed from a single PC (receiver station). This lets security managers supervise various locations simultaneously via LAN- (Local Area Network) or (low bandwidth) WAN-connected stations (Wide Area Network).
Recordings from different stations can be replayed simultaneously and synchronous on one interface. Image search functions like Smart Motion Search eliminate time consuming manual searches. Video can be exported to an archive with the push of a single button; the video is then digitally watermarked to ensure recording credibility. The scheduled export can recurrently back up recordings on various storage devices such as external disk arrays and NAS (Network Attached Storage). Applications include the firm adds banks, large retail units, bus and railway stations, city centres, industrial facilities and office buildings.
