At IFSEC, Israeli firm GM introduced the V-Alert INDOOR OUTDOOR Sensor which consists of an electronic sensor that can be used for outdoor and indoor, site applications, according to the firm.
The V-Alert sensor consists of solid state electronic sensor detecting itโs claimed small movements on the barrier or object on which it is installed. Applications the firm says include bank deposit rooms, bonded warehouses and utilities.
GM has added a feature โ the ability to detect changes of state on moving or vibrating objects. A typical application is the use of the system on bulk tankers in which material is being stolen from the tankers by opening specific areas of the
tanker. The V-Alert sensor will detect the opening even the makers say while the tanker engine is working or even if the tanker is moving.
