After its acquisition of Mechetronics, Penny + Giles – a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls and designer and manufacturer of joysticks, sensors and solenoids – was using its first time at IFSEC to launch a new range of industrial solenoid actuators and promote its joystick controllers and sensors.
The integration of Mechetronics provides Penny + Giles with experience in the design of industrial solenoids for safety and security applications including locking mechanisms and latches and door control and turnstiles. On show were a standard range including open-frame, tubular, AC laminated and latching versions.
Also on the stand were Penny + Giles’ fingertip-controlled JC025 and JC030 rockers and multi-axis JC400 and JC2000 joystick controllers, which are suitable for CCTV applications, low-profile panel assemblies and control consoles.
