Panasonic (PSNE) debuted i-Pro SmartHD CCTV alongside a range of networkable solutions that respond the firm says to increased demand for truly converged IP surveillance and communications systems.
With the tough economic climate and losses due to crime such as shoplifting having increased between 2008 and 2009 by the equivalent of โฌ4.7bn the security industry is increasingly seeking new technologies to help tackle the problem. i-Pro SmartHD which consists of a range of six new cameras with features that the makers say reduce power consumption, decrease IP network data traffic, enable new security functionality such as VRS and bring high definition technology into the equation to ensure quality images are captured.
Through the introduction of these features and other intelligent attributes Panasonic says that its i-Pro SmartHD security solutions enable PSNEโs partnering installers and end users to reduce total cost of ownership and simultaneously achieve higher standards of security.
