Synectics’ Synergy Web Streamer appliance streams any Synectics’ compatible IP video source including HD and Megapixel over the internet onto a remote client or into a browser application.
Available on PC and mobile and tablet platforms, the Web Streamer provides users outside the control room with access to live and recorded footage.
The product provides users with remote Internet access to live and recorded footage from an existing Synectics System. Through a standard web browser users are taken to a secure log on area, ensuring only authorised staff can gain access. Users can then access cameras they have permissions to view; this is administered centrally by the system manager. Using the web interface cameras are selected in either live or playback modes. With time and date selection for recorded footage, users can navigate directly to the required period keeping search time to a minimum. Each unit is capable of transmitting 20 independent streams with up to 24 simultaneous users permitted at one time.
Each stream can be a camera, live or recorded, allowing users access to a different stream simultaneously.
To compensate for those areas where only low bandwidth is available, the product allows the manipulation of video frame rate, resolution and quality according to the bandwidth available. This feature ensures users always have access to their footage regardless of the connection available, the makers claim. Camera selection can be performed by a drop down menu or map based user interface; especially useful for on-the-ground users who are unaware of camera locations in the area. All logged incidents can be uploaded onto the main Synectics Synergy system and retained.
