Marshalls Plc, the UK hard landscaping specialist, has launched a new, PAS 68-tested, counter-terror, concrete seating system as part of its RhinoGuard security range.
The Igneo Seat is a modular seating system manufactured from Marshallsโ fibre reinforced precast concrete and further strengthened by RhinoGuard technology which is cast into the individual seating modules during the manufacturing process.
The Igneo Seat has been impact-tested in accordance with BSI PAS 68. Crash tested using a fully laden 7.5 tonne N2 lorry travelling at 40mph, the seat completely immobilised the vehicle, eliminating the threat of a second attack.
In addition to its impact resistance, the Igneo Seat is also the makers say hard wearing due to the natural weathering properties of concrete, and thus requires minimal maintenance and upkeep. The Igneo Seating system is also designed to be almost vandal resistant, as each seat is provided with anti-graffiti coating as standard.
