What they say
RSA Conference Europe managing director, Tim Pickard, said: "The European Information Security Awards are designed to recognise genuine commitment to innovation and achievement in information security. They have quickly become one of the benchmarks of success for many security projects and we are confident of attracting a high calibre of entries from a full range of European security initiatives again this year. Finalists and winners are not only offered an excellent opportunity to gain exposure at one of Europe’s leading information security events, but can also benefit from recognition amongst fellow security professionals, establishing a platform to pursue other business development opportunities."
All finalists will receive a free conference delegate place at the RSA Conference, Europe 2005. A sponsoring committee has been created for each award category and will comprise members of the industry, academic community and public sector. Each committee will review the nominations submitted and select a winner. Judges include Jim Reavis, international board member, ISSA; Francisco Mingorance, director of public policy, BSA-Europe; Dr Burt Kalisky, RSA Labs; Prof Fred Piper, Royal Holloway University and Prof Brian Collins, Cranfield. The closing date for submitting entries is September 9, 2005.
