Infrared Light

by Msecadm4921

Vista has launched a range of IR lighting options. It’s to give installers a choice of illumination for night-time surveillance, no matter the size or requirements of the installation, the firm says.

There are the entry-level range will operate on either a 12V DC or 24V AC power supply, allowing the installer to select an external PSU for the whole camera position. These lamps include a built-in photo cell to automatically switch on when the light level drops

The mid-level range has an adjustable internal photo-call to allow users to adjust when the lights will operate. The power to the lamps is also adjustable, helping to avoid white out areas and ensure the uniform spread of light. The addition of a switched output allows true day/night cameras to be switched from colour to monochrome.

The professional range incorporates all the features of the other models. It comes supplied with its own PSU which has a 20 Watt output to supply power to a camera and external housing, meaning only one PSU is required to supply the complete camera position.

The lights use up to five times less power than standard halogen lamps, allowing it is claimed for low running costs and what the firm calls a truly environmentally friendly solution to lighting.
