Security and fire alarm system installer Scotshield?s use of Tesseract?s Service Centre field service management system is enabling the Scottish installer to manage effectively its 65-strong team of installation and maintenance engineers. According to service manager John Stewart, in the three years since the software has been in use more than 70,000 calls have been handled by the system and details of more than 3,500 user sites throughout Scotland are maintained by it. John Stewart says: ?We used to handle our field operations manually, and switched to the Service Centre software to minimise the time manually processing incoming calls and despatching jobs to our engineers.? Windows-based software embraces modules such as call control, customer assets and quotations.
