Internet Use Monitored

by Msecadm4921

Internet security firm iomart Group have launched a new version of its network and internet use monitoring software.

E-mail, messaging and internet security firm iomart Group have launched version 2.1 of its NetIntelligence network and internet use monitoring software. The software has been designed to allow organisations to protect themselves from the many risks that are created by putting computer networks on-line, the firm says.
NetIntelligence can both detect and then prevent the abuse of computer networks, the firm says; features are: monitoring of internet usage; ability to detect the presence of inappropriate materials on the network such as sexually explicit images; software and hardware inventory facility, for tracking unlicensed software usage; ability to detect the presence of inappropriate applications on the network such as credit card fraud and steganography software; facility to ‘fingerprint’ sensitive company information to enable electronic audit trail of trade secrets; customisable and personal ‘rule’ setting feature. NetIntelligence does not pre-determine what an organisation considers ‘inappropriate’, it provides the vehicle for monitoring and reporting on the parameters set by the organisation. Colin Rose, Net Intelligence Product Manager and Services, said: ?Businesses are having to follow a narrow path, balancing their need to use the internet, with the need to keep their vital information secure.?
